At the snapshot date of 5th April 2020 the difference between average male and female hourly rates of pay was:
The ratio of males and females in the lower pay grades is 67/33 (2018 - 45/55) rising to 76/24 (2018 - 79/21) in the highest grades.
The latest data shows a slight improvement overall in the Gender Pay Gap.
The gender pay gap results from more males than women in senior roles and in higher potential earning roles. We remain confident we have procedures to ensure males and females are paid the same rates of pay for performing similar roles.
