Mental Health Awareness Week

May 14, 2024

At Lebus we strive to look after our employees’ health and wellbeing – with this in mind it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, with the theme “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”.

Movement is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to move enough. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this Mental Health Awareness Week we want to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines.

Working conditions and environment can have a huge impact on mental health, and, equally, someone's mental health can significantly affect performing well in their job.

• 1 in 6.8 people experience mental health problems in the workplace (14.7%),
• Women in full-time employment are nearly twice as likely to have a common mental health problem as full-time employed men (19.8% vs 10.9%).
• Evidence suggests that 12.7% of all sickness absence days in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions.

We have put together useful information for our employees struggling to seek help or just ways to improve good mental health.

At Lebus Upholstery we value the importance of maintaining good mental health. As away to highlight this we interviewed a number of employees across all departments to find out what they do outside of work.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this, some fantastic activities shared from our employees!
